Bruce Weitz got his first pair of sticks when he was five. It only took a few years of beating everything in sight to convince his parents to get him a kit. Bruce studied music through high school and in to college in Phoenix before deciding drop out and start and start a rock band. The band "Vayden" was signed in early 2008 with the Silent Majority Group by founder Jeff Hansen (creed, sevendust, alterbridge, daughtry, Tantric etc). Since then they have done both national and international tours and shared the stage with such artists as 30 Seconds to Mars, Drowning Pool, Three Days Grace, Candlebox, Tantric, and many more. They recorded their first album (Children of Our Mistakes) with Ryan Greene, off of which three songs have been in rotation on National radio. In addition to his work with Vayden, he has also taught privately for nine years and has done some session work, including a few drum tracks for the Guitar Hero sound track. Influences include: Jon Bonham, David Garibaldi Danny Carey, Terry Bozzio, Steve Gadd, Stephen Perkins, Tommy Lee, Roy Haynes, Tony Williams, Morgan Rose and many more.
